There is an exciting opportunity for an Marine sector lead to join a UK based team of marine environment specialists to support the development of the international portfolio of marine consulting work.
We are looking for a candidate who has a marine ecology (benthic habitats, intertidal ecology, fish ecology) background and is able to apply their expertise and understanding of the interaction of development (particularly offshore wind projects).
Prior relevant experience in marine and coastal survey, impact assessment, engagement in key areas including biodiversity net gain and a personal passion for working in the marine environment.
Lead marine ecology related workstreams;
- Providing technical advice and strategic direction to our existing clients and projects;
- Excellent scientific and technical writing skills, including impact assessments and/or HRAs
- Contribute to and/or lead on stakeholder liaison; and
- Project management experience; project planning, processes, risk management, earned value, problem solving and project budgets on high value assignments.
- Effectively plan, project manage and deliver work on deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiar with marine infrastructure developments and related environmental issues (such as offshore wind).
