A global architecture planning and design firm recently named "#1 Most Innovative Architecture Company" by Fast Company, is seeking experienced Marketing Managers in several locations as we grow. This role is responsible for developing and executing bold and effective marketing plans that support the firm's growth strategy.
Marketing Managers work closely with senior design leadership to lead the marketing and business development efforts within a market sector. Market sectors include Healthcare, Corporate, Commercial, Higher Education, Urban Design/Planning, Sports and Civic.
The Marketing Manager orchestrates effective new business/prospect efforts. S/he organizes and implements targeted lead generation and client relationship programs, leads sales efforts, and develops strategies for thought leadership content programs that underscore point-of-view.
Your New Role:
Lead Generation & Client Relationships: In partnership with senior studio leaders and business developers, the Marketing Manager researches, identifies, and qualifies new leads - from both new and existing clients.
Prospect & Point-of-Sale Strategies. The Marketing Manager leads teams that produce and generate compelling, well-coordinated and successful new business development efforts.
Finds the right fit between clients and the firm by leading Go/No Go process for new prospects in each studio and sets appropriate marketing investments for each pursuit.
Addresses client needs and clearly articulates the fundamental design challenge and innovation opportunity through qualification packages,proposals, and presentations
Develops new methods for engaging with prospective clients in an entrepreneurial way.
Design Discipline Empathy: The Marketing Manager is deeply immersed within a design culture made up of multiple disciplines, where the scoping of design projects and creation of learning opportunities for project teams is paramount. Because of this, an openness and desire to understand all the various aspects of design are critical, as is a commitment to dialogue with the broader architect/designer community.
Managing Metrics: S/he tracks marketing burn, expenses, and helps set annual sales goals for each office within the practice/market sector.
Mentorship: S/he oversees, mentors, and guides marketing support staff and acts as an effective advocate for her/his team members. S/he is invested in the growth and development of her team.
What you will need to Succeed:
Minimum 10+ years of experience in leading marketing and business development programs for professional services/B2B companies
Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience and an ability to mentor, inspire, and motivate business development and marketing staff
Undergraduate Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Communications; Graduate Degree in Real Estate business, Marketing or Communications a plus.
Experience in an operational or project-management role
Thorough understanding of executing demand generation and marketing programs
Ability to engage remotely with design professionals in a number of offices on a regular basis
Track record developing creative, relevant client relationship strategies.
Willingness to travel 20% in the U.S.
Excellent project management skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Exceptional time management and organizational skills; ability to multitask and juggle multiple projects at the same time
Ability to work efficiently under multiple deadlines and manage large teams
Knowledge of Deltek Vision, OpenAsset, CRM and other marketing software
