Overview:
Currently seeking a Mechanical engineer for ongoing hydro power projects. The role is based in the south islands region. It is based out of Christchurch with Travel to site.
An ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Hydro Power Industry. Candidates will have good problem solving skills, management skills, and great attitude to carry out tasks. We require someone who's driven, but also technical.
This role is a standalone position and doesn't have direct reports. You will be responsible for an ongoing, $3million refurbishment project.
Key tasks include:
-Developing ITPs
-problem solving on site
-conducting day to day refurbishments on site
What we are looking for:
- at least 5 years' experience in hydropower
- site based experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- problem solving ability on site
- understanding of refurbishments for a hydro power plants.
