Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Salary: up to £40,000 + benefits
Location: Worcestershire


My client is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to assist them with the design of bespoke instrument clusters and Head Up Display Units for many of the UKs most prestigious tier 1 Automotive companies.

Responsibilities for the position of Mechanical Engineer

*Make sure that all information relating to the Mechanical team is recorded, communicated and actioned
*Support customers when necessary with any technical queries as well as other subsidiaries of the wider group
*Handling the reporting and problem solving of mechanical issues, handling change management, document management and configuration management of Mechanical products.
*To be the point of contact for the customer with respect to inquiries related to Mechanical topics.
*Support the customer in the formal release and development processes of technical drawings and CAD data.

Requirements for the position of Mechanical Engineer

*Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
*Candidates from an Automotive background are preferred but any Engineer who comes from a safety critical background will be considered
*Sound knowledge in the development of plastic components and the construction of assemblies
*Skills in injection moulding technology and injection moulding materials
*CATIA V5 skills (and ideally CATIA V6 skills)
*Ideally skills in 2D drawing creation and release
*Experience in the preparation of FMEAs and tolerance analyses as well as FEM skills
*Skills in temperature management and in the field of vibrations
*Knowledge of troubleshooting
