* Design and calculate heating and cooling loads for building systems
* Survey existing mechanical systems for buildings
* Select and layout mechanical equipment such as pumps, chiller, fans and boilers
* Review and understand task objectives and requirements as communicated by the Project Manager or Project Engineer
* Assist in code analyses, required calculations, equipment selection and field survey tasks
* Attend meetings with architects, owners and building managers to discuss future and or current projects
* Understand and demonstrate core values
* Enhance the firm's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing internal and external client requests
* Represent the company in a professional manner in all dealings with owners, architects, vendors, other design professionals and contractors
* Updates job knowledge and technical expertise by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in technical organizations and obtaining certifications in area of expertise and participating in the firm's Technical Committee as requested
* Perform other duties as assigned
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited engineering program
* At least 4 years of experience with a consulting engineering firm
* Strong organizational, prioritization, decision making and analytical skills
* Possess strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasive and interpersonal skills
* Ability to independently accomplish tasks and assignments to meet deadlines with supervision
* Ability to consistently set goals and meet deadlines and adapt to flexible responsibilities
* Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
* Beginning understanding of the architectural, engineering and construction industry
* Introductory knowledge of code compliance requirements and industry standards
* Introductory working knowledge of BIM/Revit and AutoCAD
Required/Preferred Credentials:
* FE designation is preferred
* LEED certification
* Certifications in areas of expertise
