An engineering and environmental sciences consulting firm that is employee-owned, full-service and serves both private and public clients across the United States is currently looking for an energetic Environmental Engineer with experience in investigating and remediating hazardous waste sites to join our Irvine, CA office. You'll be involved in exciting projects that cover the entire process, from planning and investigations to feasibility studies, remedial action plans, design, construction observation and project completion. These projects will include hazardous waste and brownfields site assessments, remediation system operations, maintenance and monitoring, remediation system engineering design, and vapor intrusion mitigation design and pilot tests.

As a mid-level Environmental Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing scopes of work and budgets for proposals and work authorizations
  • Managing field investigations, collecting field data, overseeing data management, and interpreting data collected at site
  • Preparing plans and specifications for the remediation of hazardous waste sites and brownfields, and managing project schedules and budgets
  • Providing engineering and construction observation services during the construction and implementation of design projects

To be considered for the role, you should have:

  • BS and/or MS in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Chemical Engineering, or a similar degree
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years' experience as a project engineer involved with planning, design and construction of environmental site assessment and remediation projects
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral
  • A clear California Professional Civil (preferred) or Chemical Engineer's license, or be on track for licensure within 12 months
  • A current valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Medical clearance to work on hazardous waste sites and the ability to lift 35 pounds
  • Ability to multi-task, stay organized, work independently, collaborate with various project teams, possess a great attitude and be eager to learn
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required
