QUALIFICATIONS:
Core:
Construction Management is seeking an industrious individual to join the Construction Management team as Operating Supervisor in the Construction Survey Section. The successful candidate will possess strong decision- making skills, flexibility to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Must promote a positive work ethic in support of our Corporate Values and Mission, and be committed to environmental excellence and safety in the workplace. Must possess strong oral and written communications skills. Requires strong interpersonal in order to effectively supervise survey operations. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 2 years relevant experience, An Associate degree in Civil Engineering or Survey with 3 years of experience as a surveyor or a HS/GED Diploma with 6 years of experience as a surveyor is required. Must have experience in the construction of Electric and/or Gas facilities including related safety and environmental criteria. Requires a thorough knowledge of survey practices and technology including the application of engineering standards and specifications to develop layouts and drawings. Additional:
Supervisory experience is preferred. Working knowledge of GIS is a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core:
The Operating Supervisor ensures implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs whose work is directed. Ensures that safe work practices are followed and the environmental is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations. Supervises and coordinates the activities of Survey personnel providing survey services for Electric, Gas, Construction Operations, Public Improvement and Substations. Ensures that Company facilities are located in an accurate, efficient manner and in compliance with all specifications and standards. Supervises the development of layouts and drawings using Autocad and Project Wise. Prepares and procures easements, and NYCDOT sewer connection permits. Supports the Law and Real Estate Departments by researching land titles and easements. Meets with Company field personnel, Engineering Customers, City and State agencies to resolve situations. Researches, test, and implement new equipment, or techniques that improve quality and reduce costs. Reviews completed work to ensure compliance to survey specifications. Works to achieve the organization and departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Complies with the Company's EEO policies and instructions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires walking, standing, and climbing. May be required to work various schedules, including weekend and off hours. Must be able to work in extreme hot and cold climates, and respond to emergencies when necessary. Must be medically approved to wear a half face respirator. Position requires a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle to travel between work locations.Use of personal vehicle to be reimbursed through the company mileage program.
