The Role:
  • Be responsible for the operations of the aviation fuel facility, including day to day operational activities, fuel handling and quality control in compliance with relevant international aviation fuel terminal standards and procedures, fuel stock accounting, ullage forecast and utilization planning, fuel tanker berthing schedules, access control and security
  • Be well conversant with applicable standards, guidelines, procedures, industry best practices, and statutory requirements
  • Act as team leader and representative of the Company in aviation terminal audits and inspections by international members of the industry
  • Act as the Port Facility Security Officer per Marine Department's requirement
  • Manage a team of supervisors and operators
  • Vet nominations of aviation fuel tanker for berthing at the facility's jetty
  • Develop and provide custom training programme on tank farm operation, custody transfer operation, and terminal berthing operation
  • Organize drills / exercises for oil spillage, fire-fighting, anti-terrorism, and ISPS program etc.
  • Review, develop, lead and implement improvement strategies
  • Provide operation input to internal HSE and Accounting teams
  • Work with the Airport Authority, relevant government departments, fuel suppliers and stakeholders
  • Provide technical and project management support to O&M and retrofit projects
  • Liaise, coordinate and work with consultants, contractors, surveyors, insurers, and other service providers
  • Maintain working relations with local communities
  • Report to General Manager and Facility Manager and be part of the management team

The Person:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering disciplines
  • Minimum 10-15 years' solid experience in engineering, organization management and contract management, preferably in the oil and gas industry
  • Self-disciplined, self-demanding and self-motivated to perform the work with passion and to manage activities and ad hoc projects independently
  • Able to present oneself and communicate with others
  • Strategic and prudent mind set and with logical, technical and analytical skills
  • Proficient in PC applications
  • Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Operations Manager
