About the job My Client is resourcing for a Senior Energy Storage Consultant, this is an extremely exciting opportunity to join a world leading consultancy and a well established and market leading storage team. Projects are predominately located throughout the UK and Ireland. Strong Energy Storage (BESS) technical understanding and wider market understanding is required. Main duties of the role: Executing energy storage related projects, Technical due diligence Procurement support, preparation of tender documentation, Employer’s Requirements, contract negotiations Owner’s Engineering support, design reviews and site visits construction monitoring and witnessing of commissioning and testing Project management The role has a fantastic salary, bonus and benefits package. The purpose of the role is to lead the project management of multiple grid-scale battery construction projects (c.50MW each) from EPC contract signature/final investment approval through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, on budget and within agreed scope. The successful candidate will inherit a pipeline of projects, allowing the opportunity to deliver an increasingly important and rapidly growing new technology. Production of detailed project budget, alongside the business development leadDevelopment, tendering and negotiation of EPC contracts, alongside the business development leadDevelop, control and manage the project schedule and ensuring all assigned projects and tasks are completed on time and within budgetManage the relationship with the EPC contractor and with other key stakeholders (DNO, Owner’s Engineer, Landowner, Local Council, Optimiser)Liaise with EPC site manager and project manager, track construction progress, conduct site visits, and prepare progress reportsPerform risk assessments and proactively solve any technical or commercial issues identified The opportunity comes with an extremely exciting salary and wider package.
My client is a leading Irish based utility scale, solar & storage developer bringing projects from origination through development. Their portfolio of projects total 6GWs of Solar and 3Gw of storage. You will be joining the highly skilled team at the forefront of the energy transition playing a central role in successfully growing and implementing their pipeline. The successful candidate should have 7 years' minimum experience in construction management and site experience of renewable energy projects along with a strong technical knowledge of all relevant Construction and Health & Safety standards and regulations across the UK and Ireland. Responsibilities include: Support the negotiation of efficient and cost-effective contracts for project delivery where requiredMaintain and manage close working relationships with EPC contractors throughout the construction processCo-ordinate with the wider project delivery team to ensure projects are constructed in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective mannerCo-ordinate Owner’s Engineer services on site
