Job Description:

Purpose of Role

To manage the planning requirements and consents from feasibility to the completion of the construction stage for a large portfolio of large-scale ground mounted Solar PV & Storage projects.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing the pre and post planning items, typically consisting of discharging conditions, preserving existing permissions, and additional planning applications as required.
  • Support the conduct of desktop reviews to assess initial planning viability of new sites.
  • Reviewing planning applications prior to submission. Liaising with and assisting the Development Team to address findings and foresee any potential planning issues that could arise during the Pre-Construction and Construction phases.
  • Support the entire development team throughout the project lifecycle - a fantastic opportunity to gain invaluable experience from concept to construction. 
  • Instruct planning consultants and other professional service providers as necessary, and managing their output on a day-to-day basis.

 

Your Profile

  • A planning related post-graduate degree, or equivalent
  • 3 years' experience with the planning processes in Ireland or the UK.
  • Ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently.
  • MS Office, MS Excel, MS Project.

 

There is a strong financial package and bonus structure in place for the right candidate. Previous experience in renewables is essential, with a preference towards solar and battery storage.
