Job Title: Senior Power Generation Engineer

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Power Generation Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Power Generation Engineer, you will be responsible for performing complex engineering work in the design, construction, and maintenance of District Power Generation facilities. You will manage engineering and construction projects through their design and construction phases, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations of outside regulatory agencies that apply to District operations. Additionally, you will supervise and develop staff, provide technical and functional supervision, and ensure quality assurance of work.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex professional engineering work in the design, construction, and maintenance of District Power Generation facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and regulations of outside regulatory agencies that apply to District operations.
  • Manage engineering and related construction projects through their design and construction phases.
  • Supervise and develop staff, provide technical and functional supervision, and ensure quality assurance of work.
  • Assist in long-range capital improvement planning and budgeting.
  • Represent the District in the community and at professional meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineer
  • Five years of increasingly responsible professional engineering experience.
  • Ability to perform technical engineering work of a complex nature.
  • PE license preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of principals and practices of organization, administration, budgeting, and personnel management.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with both internal and external contacts and communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
