Principal Consultant/Associate Director/Director Level Ecologist

Central Belt Role: Permanent (preferably Edinburgh or Glasgow)

Some of my key clients within the renewables industry have exciting opportunities for Principal level, Associate Director level, or Director level ecologists to be based in the central belt.

Individuals must have at least 7 years (9/10 years for Associate Director or Director level) of demonstrable experience within Ecology.

Main responsibilities: 

  • Manage various projects from renewables to infrastructure. 
  • Have technical proficiency in producing EcIA, HRA, PEAs, field surveys and various other project deliverables / reports. 
  • Capable of mentoring, managing and engaging with a team. 
  • Liase with project stakeholders.
  • ECoW knowledge and capabilities, able to undertake GIS surveys and preferably, hold a protected species license to undertake survey works.

Essential Criteria: 

  • Chartered or progressing to chartership within environmental or ecological spheres.
  • Full UK drivers license.
  • A relevant degree, preferably with further studies, such as an MSc in a similar discipline.
  • Capable of delivering business development strategies and leading a pre-existing ecology team.

There is flexibility in the workplace - and my clients welcome applicants seeking part time employment with a minimum contract of three days a week.
