Spencer Ogden are pleased to be partnered with an established Offshore Wind Developer spearheading the Energy Transition. Our partners are looking to bring on a Procurement and Contracts Manager to help drive and shape the company’s growth within the industry.

 

As Procurement and Contracts Manager, you will support the procurement/contracting cycle on the project by providing all elements of contract administration, procurement and commercial management support. Duties in these projects will involve:

 

  • Contract Management of multiple offshore and onshore contracts.
  • Procurement and coordination for both offshore and onshore works and services across different project.
  • Operational budget creation and management

 

You will be expected to:

  • Coordinate a range of activities associated with direct procurement activities on offshore and onshore projects.
  • Manage procurement processes.
  • Execute contract negotiation, contract management and administration.
  • Oversee payments/forecasting, SRM and reporting.

 

The right candidate will have:

  • Chartered QS (preferable)
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying and/or Procurement/Commercial related
  • Contract Administration and Contract Management (during execution phase) of offshore contracts and expected to have experience of various forms of contracts
  • Procurement of offshore and onshore contracts
  • Contract Administration and Contract Management during execution phase

JOB OVERVIEWYou'll contribute to the entire life cycle of our wind projects, from development to execution and asset management.Collaborate with a diverse global team with expertise in wind resource assessment, construction, management, and technology assessment across multiple locations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct functional assurance, technical project preparation, and execution support for both offshore and onshore wind projects.Develop technical specifications, internal standards, and engineering guidelines, as well as define Scope of Works for suppliers or contractors.Assist in wind resources analysis, reviewing and evaluating energy yield results for new project development and financial investments.Provide support for wind project development and O&M resources at the group level.Collaborate with various group functions such as procurement, finance, etc. to achieve project objectives.Review and organize the internal and external deliverables, including engineering drawings, technical reports, and procedures. KEY REQUIREMENTS Technical bachelor's degree required (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Renewable Energy, Maritime Engineering)Minimum 5 years of experience in on-shore and/or off-shore wind project developmentExperience in technology selection and operating wind farmsKnowledge of wind IEC standardsAdvantageous to have expertise with software tools such as WAsP, Windographer, Global Mapper Pro
