My client is currently sourcing an experienced Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for the technical and commercial aspects of onshore grid connections for large offshore wind farms. They will coordinate the expertise to deliver HV sub-stations for these projects and project manage external contracts.They will work as part of a multidisciplinary team on the ongoing development of several offshore wind projects around the coast of Ireland and the UK, with the opportunity to join a specific offshore wind project team when projects reach this stage in their development.The successful candidate will be highly motivated, innovative, commercially driven and have a track record of successfully delivering projects of a comparable nature and scale. Reporting to the Senior Design Manager, the Substructures Design Engineer will be leading activities associated with the design of the substructures for the wind turbine generators and offshore substation platforms at Caledonia Offshore Wind Farm. The successful applicant shall ensure that appropriate technical input is provided and engineering work is delivered as required from the development through to Final Investment Decision (FID).The Substructures Design Engineer is responsible for ensuring delivery of the engineering design basis. They will ensure that the project is appropriately engaged with key external stakeholders.
