Leading solar company Northern California (Central Valley) is looking to hiring an experienced procurement / sourcing specialist to join their team.
*Working with the supply chain team to ensure the effectiveness of the team's processes to source equipment and services along with providing expertise to help the team reduces cost on purchases.
*Responsible for negotiating prices and contracts with vendors along with evaluating requirements and reviewing quotes and invoices.
*Establish and maintain relationships with vendors.
*Gathering multiple quotes from a variety of vendors to analyze cost and delivery times to determine which supplier to use.
*Negotiate with vendors on pricing, lead-times and freight cost.
*Manage all outstanding purchase orders to track lead times and to ensure that materials will be delivered on time.
*Working with other the other departments within the company to understand what the company's needs are supplies and materials.
*Developing and using tools to create reports to analyze and understand where improvements can be made with the supply chain process.
*Bachelor's degree supply chain management, procurement, logistics or related field.
*3+ years' experience with procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management experience.
*Solar sourcing experience is a plus!
*Must be local to the Northern Central Valley, CA USA or open to relocation to the area.
