As Product Designer, you work as a part of the product management team to create compelling software products, improve user experience and facilitate translation of customer requirements into technical solutions. This position will primarily be responsible for the design of software products and assist with the creation of product requirements and transitioning them to the development team.

Essential Functions

  • Work with Product Manager to design and deliver wireframes, mockups, customer flows, journey maps and prototypes for multiple devices and interfaces
  • Establish and work within design guidelines and collaborate with team members to ensure consistency across products
  • Produce handoff ready work for tech team and capturing assets from Product Requirements Documents
  • Inspire and bring new ideas to the team through staying in the know of current design trends
  • Design for big data and find solutions to improve user experience
  • Work with Development and QA team to ensure designs are being implemented correctly and give feedback
  • Understand the technical limitations behind your designs and can effectively communicate your ideas to engineers
  • Work on design for branding and marketing material for product launches
  • Assist and manage product launches

Requirements

  • Degree in CS/MIS or equivalent work experience as business or systems analyst
  • 3 years of experience as a product owner, technical business analyst or technical project manager in a product development environment
  • Must have experience with Product Design and writing Agile requirements
  • Must have excellent analytical skills and User Empathy
  • Must have knowledge of SaaS B2B or B2C products, SQL, other BI reporting/analytical tools
  • Expertise in Photoshop/other design software
  • Must have experience with Agile workflow systems and tools (Aha, JIRA, Confluence)
  • Knowledge of energy markets, consumer analytics, digital marketing and campaign management tools is a plus
