My London based client are looking for a Energy Industry Product Manager with Commercial expertise to own their BESS product and develop it on the market.

The product manager's main responsibilities are product marketing, sales support and commercial leadership for the product. A hands-on innovative operator with a track record of forging successful business relationships, the role holder will be expected to support the rapid geographic expansion of this business together with existing and new local partners, closely working with the Sales and Technology functions.

Outwardly, the role requires early involvement in marketplace discussions, to understand the ultimate incentives of external parties in that marketplace.

Internally, the Product Owner should influence the decisions of the Senior Management Team as they prioritise high-level requirements and programmes of work. They should seek opportunities to deliver features in line with their product vision as other pieces of work are built.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international Battery Storage markets.

Commercial experience as well as sales support is a requirement for the role. An ability to think strategically and direct the business accordingly is also required.

Representing the business internally as well as externally (conferences, presentations, investors etc) is another key part of the role.

This position requires an experienced individual with strong leadership, interpersonal and presentation skills and will involve international travel.
