Production Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Manager. The role involves working for a well established manufacturing company specialising in the supply of coating materials throughout the UK.

Salary
£30,000 - £35,000 per annum
37.5 hours

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Degree level or equivalent - A level Chemistry / HNC or similar process engineering qualifications
5 years experience of managing a production team in Paint/Coatings, Adhesives, Food or Beauty
Previous experience of working in a fast moving, low lead time environment preferable
Good understanding of quality control
Excellent organiser with a high attention to detail
Adaptable to change and always looking to implement continuous improvement
Able to project manage process changes / new products / new plant installations
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills to influence at all levels
Excellent knowledge of H&S policies and procedures
Ability to demonstrate excellent management skills
Ability to work under pressure
Previous project management experience would be advantageous
IOSH/NEBOSH preferable
Knowledge of flammable liquids & regulations would be advantageous
Knowledge of COSHH would be advantageous
Self disciplined and focussed towards profitability, cost control, customer supply and product quality.
Good IT literacy with advanced Excel
Ability to work under pressure

All Manufacturing Staff & supervisors
Liaison with transport department to meet deadlines
Production Planning
Capacity forward planning
New plant and equipment
New handling and dispensing methods
Adherence to H&S within areas of responsibility
