Project Development Analyst

The Project Development Analyst plays a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of the development process. This position requires a proactive individual with exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to analyze complex problems through critical thinking. As an entry-level position, it offers a solid foundation for understanding various facets of solar and storage project development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop project schedules using Excel or similar project management software, outlining tasks, budgets, timelines, and dependencies.

  • Collaborate with the GIS and real estate teams for site analysis and selection.

  • Assist in landowner outreach and negotiate contracts until lease, license, or purchase agreements are executed.

  • Facilitate the utility's interconnection study process in conjunction with engineering consultants.

  • Coordinate real estate due diligence, including survey and title reviews, with assistance from real estate specialists and attorneys.

  • Assess permitting requirements, including land use and zoning approvals from county planning and zoning authorities, as well as any necessary state or federal permits.

  • Understand project-specific property tax regulations, researching potential tax abatements or bilateral property tax agreements.

  • Collaborate with third-party engineering and environmental consultants to acquire required studies and surveys for real estate due diligence and permit applications.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.

  • Ability to analyze and effectively present multiple data points to support development and commercial strategy decisions made by company leadership.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective internal management and team-building, as well as external relationship building.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
