Job Title: Project Engineer
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + benefits
This is a vacancy for an experienced Engineer looking for a long term move into Project Management for a world leading Aerospace organisation. As a Project Engineer you will be tasked with co-ordinating the technical solutions, developments, plans and associated costs to support business opportunities in the avionics, inertial and ignition market sector in my clients engineering department.
*Co-ordinate, track and challenge delivery
*Ensure rigorous application of best practice development process, tailored to specific project aims.
*Take ownership of elements of departmental process and champion continuous improvement in these areas
*Support resource skills analysis and recruitment needs within the engineering and projects department
*Coordination of planning and estimating to cost, schedule and quality of avionics, inertial and ignition engineering projects; typically encompassing safety critical complex electronic hardware and software.
*Planning (in coordination with others) of the project lifecycle from concept through to successful production transfer.
*Degree qualified in a relevant field such as Electronics, Computer Science or other
*Experienced Engineer looking to go into Project Management
*Strong background in one or more of the following: Hardware (analogue/digital), Embedded Software/Firmware or Systems/Avionics
*An aspiring project manager with a drive for development and an eye for detail to capture and propose potential delivery across the full project lifecycle, from small to medium size
*Ideally have a Project Management qualification such as a Prince 2 or APMP; if not my client is willing to put you through the relevant training to get you up to speed
*Appreciation of day to day management of local engineering teams and wider stakeholders
*An ability to interpret complex task data in order to identify a planned path when faced with reasonable risk and uncertainty
