PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Provide project management, technical support, leadership and oversight to all operational, regulatory and project driven activities as assigned within the Gas Business Unit (North Texas Assets), including gas and liquid pipelines, gas processing and treating, compression and dehydration, condensate stabilization, metering, and construction activities.
POSITION FUNCTIONS:
  • Pipeline and process simulation
  • Material / equipment sizing and specification
  • Project scope and economic development
  • Material / equipment procurement
  • Contracting and bidding work and selection
  • Contract evaluation (construction and commercial)
  • Basic project economic evaluation
  • Cost estimating and generation of AFE's
  • Development of project schedules
  • Project / construction management (cost and schedule controls)
  • Routine report generation
  • Participation on internal and joint teams to provide excellent service to key customers


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering
  • 3+ years of project engineering experience within the midstream or refinery industry
  • Knowledge of gathering, storage, processing plant, compressor, and pipeline systems
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated and requires little supervision
  • Team Oriented
  • Knowledge of pipeline design, related industry equipment operations and maintenance codes and practices, measurement and cathodic protection, compression design, gas processing and dehydration design, system planning / optimization, gas and liquid pipeline hydraulics
  • Must be willing to travel
