As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the development and realization of a multi-million investment

project in line with the outlined objectives, business drivers and the Vattenfall project management model and

governance. You will be supported by a project team from OU Heat Projects´ competence and resource pools, tools

and systems.

You will be responsible for the day to day management of the project ensuring it is delivered safely, and within

required time, budget and quality.

Typical responsibilities include:

· Reinforcing robust management of health and safety to industry best practice

ICS / MENSA project DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for the delivery of agreed modules within a project (PLC, SCADA, Testing, Networking, Documentation, Hardware design etc) • Work as directed by the Senior/Lead Engineer and Project Manager • Responsible for meeting the technical and quality requirements of project • Ensure project adherence to company quality processes and procedures • Identify project opportunities and variations • Support the Project Manager in identifying and managing risks and issues • Identify and enable use of reusable modules by standardisation and modularization of systems where appropriate • Provide Health and Safety leadership by example • Develop project modules. (Modules as identified in the design – PLC code modules, SCADA, scripts, Mimics, comms drivers, etc.) • Report on progress of all assigned activities to Senior/Lead Engineer or Project Manager • Identify any deviations from agreed functionality or scope and notify Senior/Lead Engineer or Project Manager • Peer review documents created by the project team or other teams as required • Undertake site surveys as required • Support outline design, upfront design studies and requirement definition for clients • Develop FDS and DDS • Develop test specification & design testing methodology • Development of site work documentation (Risk assessment, method statement, site test documentation) • Develop O & M documentation • Undertake full integrated system testing, CFAT, SAT and installation • Undertake observations, variation and reworks as well as packing and shipping of the system • Undertake site installation and retesting • Provide warranty support as necessary QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: • Experience of the full project life cycle from system specification through design, development, testing and on-site commissioning is essential • Hands on experience of PLC and SCADA systems • A good appreciation of Control panels, electrical installation and Instrumentation solutions • A Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Control Systems or relevant discipline • Incorporated Engineer or working towards professional registration • Experience of some or all of the following is desirable:

This job is focussed on work activities related to the generation of electricity across a portfolio of station assets using a variety of fuel types.The successful candidate will be a team player, flexible and a self-starter with good problem-solving skills. They should be able to demonstrable the ability to lead as required, communicate and relate effectively with staff at all levels in the organisation. Key Responsibilities The key responsibilities include the following: Planning of outages on the main Combined Cycle Gas Turbine plant and Open Cycle Gas Turbine plant and other major items of plant.Ensuring plans meet safety, environmental, technical, and commercial targetsDevelopment of contingency plans associated with the above   Review of contracts, programmes, project and commercial documentation associated with outagesProgress and reporting on all planned and unplanned outagesCo-ordination of day-to-day maintenance planning activities.Manage and develop site based computerised maintenance management systems to suit business and plant needsManaging site specific projects that have defined time or functional start and end criteria. These may include CAPEX projects, plant investigations, technical and commercial project assignments, audits etc.Develop and test site Business Continuity PlansDevelop procedures and plans in the above areas to support the stations ISO quality standardsCoordinate the preparation of monthly reports, business reviews and associated follow up actions. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential Experience in a power plant or similar process industry in a commercial environment is considered essential.It is expected that the incumbent would have good interpersonal skill and have the ability to manage and lead projects, coordinate activities, chair meetings, and manage unplanned changes.The incumbent would be expected to prepare reports to suit recipients at different levels of the organisation and make presentations as required. Desirable Working experience in the use, development and management of planning software and computerised maintenance management systems would be an advantage. Qualifications It is desirable that the incumbent has 3rd level qualification in engineering or a related technical/science based subject.
