About the role

As part of the project team you will need to have exposure managing projects greater than $1m in value

You will be accountable for the scoping, planning, scheduling and delivery of project work in accordance with the clients standards of practice.

We are looking for strong communicators that manage multiple stakeholders at any one time and show initiative when necessary.

As such, you will be accountable for meeting operational/ financial objectives and targets, and able to manage a series of schedules at any one time.

To be considered your application should demonstrate an ability to:

  • Consult a Tier 1 mining organisation/ evidence an understanding of Power Gen projects with Mining organisations
  • Prepare project plans
  • Ensuring Project timelines are met and adaptive to unforeseen changes
  • Managing contracts;Identifying, scheduling and coordinating resources when necessary
  • Ensure appropriate control systems are established and managed correctly
  • Developing and managing cost and financial forecasts
  • Ensure contractors comply with BHP's policy framework and Health Safety and Environment (HS&E) reporting and standard.
  • Manage contractors working on the project to ensure the work is completed on time and safely.
  • Ensure contracted project deliverables, KPI's and other requirements are met.
  • The ability to provide concise, timely and accurate project status reporting.

About You

To be successful you will have:
A Diploma or other Certification in Project Management
You will need to be based in Western Australia
A background in Electrical Engineering
Experience of project management and supervision of brownfield projects - Experience working on infrastructure upgrades on WA ports will be highly desired.
