Job Description Client seeks motivated and energetic candidates to join our team as a Project Manager or Sr. Project Manager to support the development and execution of several sequential utility-scale battery energy storage projects from late-stage development through commissioning. The Project Manager will report to the company’s Director of Construction.
The Project Manager will work closely with the Project Developer during the development process and ensure a proper handoff to the project team during late-stage development. During project execution, the Project Manager will manage the project design, permitting, contractor and vendor selection and contracting, and all construction and commissioning activities culminating with turnover to Asset Management (Operations). The Project Manager will be ultimately responsible for the project schedule and budget. The Project Manager will collaborate with the project team including the Project Engineer and Construction Manager during project execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Overall responsibility for the project schedule and budget.
• Manage engineering consultants with support from the engineering team during project development, permitting, pre-construction, and construction.

• Prepare project status reports on a weekly and monthly basis during project execution for internal management review and investor/board updates.
• Ensure project design complies with federal, state, and local regulations. Responsible for securing all permits required for construction and operation of the project.
•Prepare the initial project budget with the finance team. Ultimately responsible for the project budget during execution, including weekly and monthly updates on budget variances.
• Maintain a risk register to identify and communicate key risks throughout project execution.
• Track performance and analyze the completion of key goals during project execution. Maintain production logs for work put in place for future reference for project lessons learned, and schedule and budget forecasting.

They are looking to add a Development Manager to their Texas based team.Responsibilities: Contribute to our mission of expanding and managing a portfolio of renewable energy generation assets.Demonstrate expertise in the site selection and permitting processes for utility-scale solar and/or wind generation projects.Lead cross-functional teams, both internal and external (engineering, finance, legal, environmental, etc.), to successfully develop prospective projects.Structure overall projects and oversee development from financial initiation to construction commencement.Stay informed about the business landscape, including regulatory and environmental legislation.Effectively lead and mentor teams and subordinates.Participate in special projects as required.Onsite presence in Houston will be mandatory.Travel to project sites may be necessary. Qualifications: Possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, environmental science, land use planning, business, or a related field.Demonstrate a track record in developing large-scale infrastructure projects within the energy sector, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable project development, preferably in the solar and/or wind industry, and 4+ years in real estate development, environmental consulting, or engineering management within infrastructure projects.Showcase strong analytical skills and a keen business acumen.Exhibit a self-driven work ethic and the ability to lead, particularly in a development role overseeing multiple projects or transactions concurrently.Display excellent communication and negotiation skills, enabling relationship building with both internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.Proficiency in various computer applications (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Google Earth, Adobe, etc.).Adaptability to thrive in an entrepreneurial organization.Intermediate-level experience in real estate, public speaking, permitting, market assessment, contractual negotiations, and commercial agreements is advantageous.
