An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join one of the world's most established Tier 1 Automotive companies.

My client is looking for a candidate ideally with direct Automotive experience as they will be overseeing the Software, Hardware and Test/ Validation Teams therefore a technical understanding is an essential part of the job in order to communicate effectively with your peers.

Key responsibilities for the position of Project Manager

*The primary responsibility for this role is to act as the key responsible engineer for all design activities throughout all development phases (from quotation to integration). This includes: to interface with our customers to clarify all requirements on the electronic product development; to plan, request and follow-up the human resources needed for electronic product design engineering; to plan, request and control investments and expenses needed for electronics product design; to lead the design activities in line with company procedures for electronic product design.
*To continuously report and review the design/ development progress both in front of the customer and in front of internal representatives.
*To liaise with purchasing, finance and costing in order to continuously improve the product margin.
*To proactively contribute to the development, implementation and continuous improvements of the department's quality assurance system with particular focus on product design activities
*To carry out any other duties as required

Key responsibilities for the position of Project Manager

*Knowledge of the specific requirements of automotive electronics.
*Knowledge of E-CAD tools for schematic capture, layout and simulation.
*Knowledge of CAD tools for mechanical development.
*Knowledge of specific tools and requirements for SW development.
*Knowledge of the development flow for automotive electronic products.
*Experienced in interactions with automotive customers/ suppliers.
*Experienced in heading a multi-disciplined engineering team
*Extensive experience in electronic products development
*Solid experience of leading a design team.
*Experience preferably gained within the automotive sector
