We now need a Senior Project Manager to play a key role in our Team. You will take responsibility for delivery of the Business Continuity plan.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Developing, maintaining and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery strategies and solutions
  • Carrying out risk assessments, business impact analyses, strategy selection, and documentation of business continuity and disaster recovery procedures
  • Planning, conducting, and debriefing regular mock-disaster exercises to test the adequacy of existing plans and strategies, updating procedures and plans accordingly
  • Acting as a coordinator for continuity efforts after a disruption event
  • Initiation, execution, monitoring and controlling the projects lifecycle to ensure delivery on time and to budget
  • Providing inspirational leadership and guidance to the project team
  • Management of project uncertainty through planning and Risk Management, establishing appropriate mitigations, contingency & fallback plans
  • Preparation of project schedules and required documentation for bids, tender vets, and other initiated or planned phases within projects
  • Routinely publishing schedules on the enterprise project server (EPM) to ensure correct workload forecasting
  • Generation, maintenance and ownership of Project & Risk Management Plans
  • Effective communication of project performance, issues and risks to all stakeholders (and where appropriate manage expectations) for projects
  • Identification of opportunities for continuous improvements of Project Management process and procedures and support improvement opportunities
  • Ensuring that the project delivery aligns with company procedures and standards at all times

To be succesful in this role, you will require the following -

  • Experience of successfully delivering complex projects using recognised Project Management techniques
  • Demonstrable experience of energising teams to meet critical timescales and project delivery within budget
  • Ability to manage customer expectations and avoid unwanted scope creep
  • Proficiency in the use and understanding of Project Management / resource tools such as MS Project and MS Project Server or other enterprise Project Management tool
  • Good understanding of Risk Management and how this is used to manage a project
  • Persuasive and clear communication skills across all levels of the business
  • Strong problem solving capabilities
  • Knowledge and qualification in APM Body of Knowledge, PRINCE2 or PMP methodologies
