Spencer Ogden are seeking a Project Manager with Smart Metering background to join our client based in Southern England

The Project Manager is primarily responsible for managing client based projects (Smets 1 and Smets 2), working with other partners as required. The role includes managing and monitoring all project activities, ensuring commitments to project plans and contracts are met, as well as objectives for account growth.

Responsibilities:
-Work across the full project lifecycle in conjunction with Engineering, QA and Services teams to ensure that the functionality and product delivery is compliant with the agreed customer specifications.
-Work with the Engineering leads to ensure that customer commitments are aligned with product delivery and are delivered on a timely and quality basis, ensuring that risks to meeting those deliveries are understood and documented.
-Ensure that revenue objectives are achieved. Planning and reporting of billing and revenue.
-Maintain project plans and ensure that the project is executed according to the plan; managing project risks, issues and dependencies.
-Maintain risks, actions and issue registers and communicate them to internal and external stakeholders
-Facilitate workshops with the Customer and the functional teams to document requirements and solution design. Align requirements with the product strategy and roadmap
-Ensure that project information and documentation are stored in the company document management system in an ordered and accessible manner. To maintain accurate records in customer and internal meetings of agreed approaches, decisions, assumptions and actions

Job requirements:
-Full project lifecycle and customer engagement experience from definition, through development, QA, customer verification and transition into operations
-Demonstrated experience of managing successful projects in complex corporate environments
-Strong critical thinking skills
-Ability to excel in a dynamic , high growth environment
-Excellent communications skills, capable of communicating effectively to both business and technical resources
-Ability to write and direct the writing of clear and concise functional documentation
-Competency with Microsoft office applications, Microsoft Project, Visio and collaboration tools
-Experience in the Utility, Smart Grid or Energy Management field is desirable
-Experience of working with off-shore teams
-Extensive experience with IT industry standards and practices such as ITIL and Prince2
-Experience of the agile methodologies is advantageous
