On behalf of a leading utilities client, I'm currently seeking a highly skilled, autonomous, engaging, energetic and driven Project Manager, to undertake a solid pipeline of project work. Expectations will be high, with a challenging program and tight deadlines throughout the duration of the program.
The incumbent will be responsible for delivering a number of concurrent projects, co-ordinating resources, and actively engaging a wide variety of stakeholders across specific business domains, to deliver successful business outcomes. The incumbent is expected to work very closely with the IT project delivery team and the business in order to achieve outcomes.
Responsibilities will be varied but include:
-Delivery of a business intelligence and data warehouse capability
-Delivery of a Land Development system.
-Duties will include co-ordinating project work, organising resources, facilitating and recording business meetings, delivering project outcomes, project financials, estimating and importantly liaising with the business and vendors.
The ideal candidate will have the capacity to ensure that technology solutions continually add value whilst underpinning our IT Strategy and Corporate Plan. The candidate must be a forward thinking individual with significant experience in Project Management, with exposure to traditional project management disciplines and a proven ability to motivate, excite and build consensus within cross functional teams. The candidate must be able to seek agreement from varying business stakeholders, with an ability to drive change and efficiency across the organisation.
Skills & experience required:
-Tertiary Qualifications in Information Technology
-Demonstrated Project Management skills (Prince2/PMBoK)
-Strong skills in business analysis, business case development
-Development of options, cost benefit analysis & benefits realisation
-Strong documentation, business process flow and communications skills
-Understanding of IT infrastructure, architecture & process re-engineering
-Experience in utilities organisations is desirable
