The Quality Assurance Tester will conduct analytical and integral testing of our core business product: the IoT Predictive Analytics system. They will be responsible for designing and conducting test cases to validate software releases through multiple staging environments as well as catching issues in production.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and design test scenarios for Predictive Analytics software
  • Setting up and maintaining environments in which to run automated integration tests
  • Execute test cases and report defects, define severity and priority for each defect
  • Integrate developed tests into the continuous integration/deployment pipelines
  • Report results and provide recommendations to the Development Team
  • Maintain and improve product quality by investigating field customer escalations
  • Implement new tools, strategies and methods to continually optimize the testing process
  • Participate in product release steps, including planning and arranging releases, participating in internal training
  • Work closely with Deployment team to ensure smooth production installation



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and/or Information Technology/Science
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance
  • Experience creating and executing software / hardware tests
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks for both backend and frontend code
    • Jasmine, Selenium, Pytest, Unittest, JUnit
  • Experience with Python and Javascript
  • Experience with the design and maintenance of deployment pipelines
  • Knowledge of Databases concepts and SQL dialects
  • Experience in Automation Controls and Testing is a plus
  • Experience with startup or startup-like working environment
  • Working knowledge of Agile and/or Waterfall software development tools
  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies
  • Experience in AWS is a plus
  • Domain knowledge in Industrial Internet is ideal
  • Domain knowledge in material handling, industrial mfg., or logistics is ideal
