A leading international food manufacturer is looking for an experienced Quality Systems Manager or an individual with solid Quality Assurance experience hungry to progress their career.

The successful candidate will:

* Ensure Customer and Accreditation quality standards are met
* Work alongside the Head of Quality and Quality Manager
* Have the opportunity to progress into a Quality Manager role

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

* Standing in for the Head of Quality where necessary
* Implementing RCA initiatives
* Managing the Technical Coordinator and Senior Food Technologist
* Conducting training of SAP and other management
* Completing risk assessments (Allergen / Integrity & Segregation / Packaging)
* Working with Senior Management & the Engineering Team
* Working with the Quality manager during audits
* Carrying out internal audits
* Agreeing corrective actions with managers for non-conformance issues
* Handling safety non-conformance of raw materials or finished goods
* Writing food safety procedures and providing relevant training
* Maintaining the site Quality Manual
* Facilitating the implementation of NPD launches.
* Being a key player in HACCP, TACCP and VACCP team
* Liaising with the central SQMT team
* Carrying out gap analyses
* Working alongside with Food safety manager and investigating customer complaints

The successful candidate's KPIs:

* Reduction in quality failures
* Performance in customer and accreditation audits
* Rate of complaint reduction
* Risk assessments signed off by the customer
* Level of task completion and the sharing best practice

The successful candidate will:

* Have an awareness of industry leading practices
* Have excellent communication and influencing skills
* Have an in depth knowledge of BRC & IFS, HACCP, GMP and hygiene standards.
* Hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant science or technology subject
* Have Quality Assurance experience within a food manufacturing environment (essential)
* Good Food safety and HACCP Qualifications
* Internal auditor training (Lead Auditor is preferable)
* RCA training
* Be a motivational leader good at sharing best practice
* Be computer literate
* Take a hands on approach on site (essential)
* Be familiar with SAP
