Quantity Surveyor (Heathrow Airport)
I am currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to work at Heathrow Airport.
The successful candidate with be responsible for the commercial and quantity surveying duties for the client, sub-contractors and suppliers. In addition to this the role will require the Quantity Surveyor to handle tender enquires, contract administration, valuations, applications, claims and commercial control.
As a quantity surveyor you will be expected to provide performance analysis and also report to senior managers.
Key Duties for this role
*Support procurement and tendering aspects
*Help manage contract packages within prescribed financial margins to a high standard
*Manage the change management and strategy to include; cost estimates, design change, scope variation, instruction and programme change
*Monitor and report against base data or cost plan
*Oversee and administer project subcontracts, trade contractor and consultants
*Measuring works in accordance with SMM7
*Manage the monthly valuations and payment applications
*Manage the issue of contract instructions, contract charges and formal notices
*Create reports for Finance Department
*Manage and conclude final accounts in accordance with governance requirements.
*High Level of Financial and Commercial acumen
*Experience in electrical engineering
*Skilled in Estimating, procurement, risk analysis, design and change management, client consultations, record keeping and claims preparation
*Proven track record with Quantity Surveying within electrical engineering market.
*Industry contract knowledge and Experience (e.g. NEC3 Options A, C & E)
*Knowledge of contract negotiations and supply chain environment
*Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholder
*Ability to work well as a team
*Excellent analytical, organisation & planning skills
*Ability to identify problems, investigate alternatives and apply commercial judgement
