Regional Sourcing Manager - Raw Materials

My client, the number one Global resins and coatings producer, is currently searching for a high level Procurement professional that wishes to take the next step in their career. The emphasis of this role is on the development and growth of a talented individual that will one day become part of the senior Procurement leadership of this outstanding company.

This position presents an exciting challenge for a driven Direct Procurement specialist due to the large scope and variety of Raw Materials that will be in your portfolio. We are looking for an innovative rigorous individual with an academic background in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering that will be able to engage with large global suppliers/markets and autonomously develop/implement a Regional purchasing strategy.

There is a choice of two locations for the position to be based in: North Brabant region, Netherlands - Brussels region, Belgium

Reports to: Procurement Director EMEA

Please submit an application if you have:

  • Minimum 4 years experience in Procurement
  • A Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or Life Sciences academic background (minimum Bachelor's degree)
  • Experience purchasing Chemical Raw Materials
  • Astute commercial acumen/strategic abilities
  • Stakeholder management and interpersonal skill
  • Project management skills: ability to implement strategic initiatives through a systematic sourcing process
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Negotiation and contracting skills
  • Purchasing experience in similar role with exposure to major direct spend categories or equivalent commercial role
  • Proven success operating in an international company
  • Solid understanding of the petrochemicals' main feedstocks and raw materials markets, including supply demand balances and supplier cost drivers
  • Fluent in English (other European languages is a plus)
  • An ambition to grow and develop rapidly in a large global chemical company
