Job Role Summary
*Ensuring proper implementation of established reservoir management strategies and surveillance plans including short-term adjustments to cater for operational constraints without compromising longer-term reservoir recovery
*Ensuring that wellbore hydraulic models are accurate, up to date and accessible to Asset Level Team (ALT) technical staff via defined repositories/ locations
*Collaborating with multi-functional team(s) to identify, execute opportunities, and optimize well performance
*Identifying, validating, analyzing and uploading pressure data including clarification/ validation of Pressure-Volume-Temperature (PVT) assumptions for fluid density, downhole parameters and determination of missing parameters when required
*Coordinating monthly or periodic teleconferences with the ALT technical staff to discuss analysis, recommendation and potential next steps for analyzed wells/ reservoirs
*Capturing, issuing and stewarding to close minutes and action items from the monthly teleconference
*Interacting with Global Upstream Engineering contacts, as and when required
Expected Level of Proficiency
*An honors degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university
*3-5 years' experience in Upstream engineering and operations
*Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply
*Demonstrated in in-depth skills and knowledge in
oPetroleum engineering operations and production methods for oil and natural gas recovery
oReservoir surveillance/ modeling, wellbore performance modeling or practical experiences in troubleshooting/ diagnostic/ optimizing well performance
*Familiar with
oReservoir surveillance, production or hydraulic modeling tools/ applications, particularly Integrated Production Modeling (IPM) suite of applications
oPressure analysis tools/ applications, e.g. Kappa Suite of Applications
*Competent in writing and updating Excel Macros/ Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to reduce manual work/ intervention
*Demonstrated passion in engineering and shows strong technical attributes, e.g. attention to detail, initiative, highly organized and practical use of engineering principles
*A highly motivated team player with effective verbal and written communication, analytical and interpersonal skills; able to influence multi-functional technical staff to execute recommendations
*Job may require working staggered work hours and some international travel
