Job Title: RF Communications Project Manager

This is a truly unique opportunity to work for one of the most pioneering Space organisations in the world. My client seeks an experienced RF leader to act as a Technical Project Manager with a core focus on overseeing their product development arm. The work is challenging and diverse so a background in several of the following is essential: Communications Systems, Satellite/Satcom, DSP/FPGA, RF/Hardware Engineering. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading several multi-faceted projects in tandem through the entire development life cycle.

Essential Requirements

*Able to lead a multi-skilled team consisting of Embedded Software/Firmware Engineers, RF Engineers, DSP/Algorithm Engineers, FPGA Engineers
*Strong track record of delivering large projects on time and within budget
*Contribute to project proposals, white papers and product architecture definitions
*Solid background and understanding of communication systems design, high data rate communications, hardware and software related techniques.
*Understanding of RF component and subsystem-level hardware is a must.
*Must have experience generating and understanding communication link budgets.
*Must have a proven track record working within a multidisciplinary team with the ability to generate concepts with minimal direction, develop those concepts into project plans, and lead the team through execution of the plans to delivery of a product ready for production.

Beneficial Requirements

*Software-Defined Radio (e.g. GNU Radio, USRP, DSP)
*RF signal design techniques (e.g. modulation, encoding)
*RF Hardware design experience in frontend design, antenna theory, etc.
*Knowledge of the physical, link and network layers for wireless communication modules
*Ability to make trade-offs between cost, complexity, and capabilities
*Hands-on experience in RF, DSP, as implemented on embedded systems
*Leading a communications product through the development phases
