The Group Engineering & Construction department is currently looking for a Group Rotating Equipment Engineer in order to strengthen the Rotating Equipment team (2
people). He/she will report to the Mechanical department manager. The Rotating Equipment Engineer will be in charge of the complete specification of the rotating equipment, start up, trouble shooting and maintenance of rotating equipment. He/she must be experimented in the use of the construction Codes and standards for rotating equipment and their auxiliaries, design calculation and fabrication process. Main functions Comply with Solvay rules applicable on the concerned sites and with Solvay HSE Contribute to the design of Rotating Equipment and their accessories and take into account for the design: Project constraints, Client requirements and HSE aspects Best available technologies at the optimum cost (total cost) and learnings from the Group and international recognized experts organization Capabilities and constraints of Rotating Equipment manufacturers' workshop, the constraints of the applicable design codes and regulations Participate in the creation of procedures, standards for the Group and pro-actively integrate the learnings related to the Rotating Equipment Propose technical solutions that match the required performances versus the required criteria defined for quality, budget (cost and schedule) Participate in the preparation and technical follow-up of purchase order for services and/or Materials related to Rotating Equipment. Qualifications: Bachelor degree with 10 years of industrial experience or Master degree with at least 5 years of experience. Mechanical orientation. The experience should include assistance for commissioning, maintenance for rotating machines at least. Knowledge of design codes, fabrication standards, regulation, calculation programs, FMEA analysis, for rotating equipment, maintenance practice for rotating equipment, stress calculation, basic knowledge for finite element evaluation. Knowledge of turbine, compressors, pumps, sealing systems. Knowledge of Ms Office and Aspen. You are fluent in English (spoken and written). You are meant for this job if you are able to collaborate with others and communicate clearly at all levels. You are skilled in providing trainings to your collaborators in plants. You deliver high quality, valuable and innovative service to all customers. You are willing to travel minimum 35% of the time for mission in all countries where the Group has facilities.
