My client is seeking an experienced Engineer to join the sales team in this unique opportunity, the role can be home based or at the company's regional office in the Stafford area. This role will require the successful candidate to travel both throughout the UK and Ireland when necessary.
The successful Sales Engineer will be responsible for the sale of all the company's products and services, they will represent the company to an exceptionally high standard, make introductions and manage relationships on a local level. They will also help to grow the company's market share in the UK and raise awareness of the company's brand on an international level.
The Sales Engineer will interact with a wide range of internal departments including the rest of the Sales Management team, Design and Production teams and Customer Service Representatives. They will also have extension communication with technical and commercial clients as well as industry bodies.
*Use local knowledge to make introductions and find new clients to grow the business and sales pipeline.
*Ability to give a full and detailed explanation of all technical products the company manufacture.
*Ensure that each customer fully understands the relevant terms and conditions, prices, etc. for each product or service.
*Ensure all budgets are set and adhered to for Sales Events and travel (accommodation, expenses, etc.)
*Manage key accounts and ensure commitments are met, chase other departments for outstanding quotations and ensure on time payment as stipulated within the customer contract.
*Reporting all activity on time and correctly.
*Asses the potential of new projects and developments of clients businesses and strategy.
*Understand the effect on the business in changes within competitors or the transmission and distribution market.
*Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
*5 years' experience in electrical industry.
*Excellent communication and relationship builder.
*Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
*Ability to travel throughout the UK and Ireland.
*Experience in a customer facing role preferably a sales role but not essential.
*Experience within Renewables or Distribution Network Operators (desired not essential).
