Sales Manager (EMEA) - Software Solutions - Utilities / Renewable Energy

As the global energy sector is transforming, my client is able to offer customers digital solutions to deliver increased efficiency in energy production, and better integration with energy grids. Such transformation thus means energy systems and generators must improve accuracy in forecasting for energy production, optimising output from each asset across their portfolio. This must be cost-effective, ensuring a stable grid as new technologies replace conventional forms of generation.

My client is seeking an elite Sales Manager to help meet customer acquisition and revenue targets. The suitable candidate will be primarily responsible for closing contracts, generating a qualified pipeline and maintaining healthy customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve growth and sales targets by successfully selling my clients' software products directly into the identified industry and accounts
  • Build and implement a strategic business plan for accounts which expands the company's existing customer base, ensuring a strong future pipeline
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Leverage global and local partner relationships which can influence new sales
  • Cooperate with colleagues around the globe to jointly target global accounts whilst leveraging mutual strengths
  • Present sales / revenue reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Develop and maintain a sufficient knowledge of the industries, the trends and issues to effectively align and apply Company's technologies to meet customer's business goals
  • Manage all the commercial aspects including: managing and preparing offers, project contracts and quotations, leading price and contract negotiations
  • Identify and understand all customer needs to introduce and sell products, services and solutions to clients.
  • Proactively address open customer issues, including quality issues, until appropriate closure.
  • Coordinate with internal groups to ensure that quotations, quality complaints, VOC, technical information is provided to the customer within agreed timeframes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to share relevant information about the customer.

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering
  • Successful prior sales experience in the energy industry
  • Prior software sales experience
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from beginning to close
