Sales Manager (Industrial Waste)

£40-60K + Comms + Car + Benefits

(Within 1 to 1.5 hours of York. Willing to consider candidates based in Lancashire, Yorkshire Midlands and the East)

My Client is looking to recruit a future Sales Director to join the business. They have been in operation for over 65 years and area a recognised business across their industry.

After increasing their revenue by 25% over the past 3 years they are now in a position to recruit a competent Sales Manager capable of growing into a Sales Director position within the next 2-3 years (Possible sooner for the right candidate)

*10 years plus experience in the industrial services and waste industry.
*Proven experience winning large plc/international customers who work to values of at least £100k.
*The person will be well presented and personable with a keen eye for detail and a self-starter with no expectation for "assistants and secretaries".
*They will be judged on performance to win new business in the medium to long term while managing and developing smaller projects and customers in the short term while getting themselves established.
*They will have ideally been involved with acquisitions and mergers where they played a key role to enable the merging of a business or division and have had experience setting up new depot or similar in other parts of the UK.
*They will be familiar with writing Risk and Methods statements with most likely IOSH certified and even NEBOSH qualified.
*They will be familiar with the logistic s and haulage industry given Harpers use many trucks and tankers plus other specialist equipment.
*They will have worked a lot with JetVacs, DISABS, UHP and HP water jetting and be very comfortable with ADR/Pet Reg and DGSA regulations as well as work involving CS and BA risks.
*They will be happy to start on a "lower than ideal" salary and after demonstrating their capability be able to justify more remuneration.
*They will have created and managed strategy and managed people and teams.
*They will have worked at a senior level in the past.
*They want to be a sales director and believe they will be in 3 years time.
*They will be mature but with unbounded energy but patience and calm while acting professionally.
*Exact industry experience is essential.
