Spencer Ogden is working with one of the UK's most exciting solar energy companies to help find them a Technical Sales Manager for their rapidly growing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services business. With an existing O&M business of over 1GW, our client is one of the largest providers of O&M services in the world. They are offering fantastic remuneration and career progression for the right candidates.

The Technical Sales Manager will have responsibility for growing the O&M business through acquiring new sites. The successful candidate will need to create and implement a strategy to achieve this goal through marketing events, sales campaigns and direct prospecting.

Some further responsibilities are as follows:

Increasing sales revenue through effective identification, proposal and closure of business to selected clients.
Become proficient in our client's sales methodology.
CRM system use for the management of client and business relationships.
Review of new Asset Management and O&M contracts.
Give sales presentations to prospective clients, networking among industry representatives.
Negotiation of the terms of new contracts.
Creation of detailed proposal documents
Budget estimates for proposals.
Build and maintain effective relationships with contractual partners.

Some candidate requirements are as follows:

Degree education in Engineering, Sales/Marketing or equivalent.
Previous experience in technical service maintenance contract sales.
Strong track record of sales success.
Technical awareness and understanding of solar farms and the O&M of such farms.
Experience with contract negotiation and contract management.
Strong CRM software capabilities.
Well-presented, excellent communicator.
Willingness to travel around the country
Clean full driving license
