Responsibilities

  • Managing a sales team on a day-to-day basis
  • Improve and refine existing workflow processes as well as create beneficial new processes
  • Manage and enhance the sales training process
  • Identifying and distributing new sales leads in targeted markets
  • Executing the prescribed commercial process from lead generation through signed contract
  • Successful transition of certain opportunities to the Business Development Team
  • Logging all communications in CRM database
  • Assisting in the creation of lead generation letters, project proposals, and other required material
  • Managing the team to a prescribed set of quantifiable commercial and financial metrics


Near Term Goals and Objectives - Measures of Success

  • Quickly come up to speed on site lease / PPA processes and training material
  • Rapidly build solar energy domain knowledge to build market credibility
  • Develop, build and manage internal relationships
  • Foster an environment of cohesive teamwork that delivers best-in-class service and superior results to prospective customers
  • Identify areas of improvement and enact solutions to deliver improved results
  • Use of quantitative metrics to improve the performance of the sales team


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of a successful track record of sales management experience, preferably with a real estate company, financial services provider or commercial-scale solar developer
  • Proven experience managing a team of six, (6) or more
  • Experience working within a defined commercial process geared towards maximum effectiveness
  • Experience identifying new prospective opportunities and equitably distributing these opportunities to the team
  • A track record of achievement as evidenced by, exceeding team quotas, building a new book of business, and receiving sales management achievement awards
  • Understanding of engineering and renewable energy systems preferred
  • Desire to play a key role in a high growth company
