Your new role

You will get the opportunity to work with a company that is focusing on delivering critical metals and focusing on the mining and mineral industry. Key Responsibilities will be;

  • Use technical knowledge to perform engineering assignments and produce engineering deliverables including complex problems
  • Solve problems requiring development of new approaches or new uses for existing approaches; exercises mature professional judgment in evaluating and selecting technical strategic options
  • Anticipates potential problems and takes the initiative to solve complex problems through creative thinking and creative use of internal and external resources both inside and outside of discipline expertise
  • Understands customer needs and applies technical solutions to meet goals. 

What you'll need to succeed

  • You will need to have 5+ years’ experience in the civil engineering sector with a focus on mining, as well as experience in a senior civil engineer position.
  • An ability to provide great leadership skills, guidance and manage a team is essential.
  • An ability to mentor professional engineering specialists is looked at highly. 
  • Possess a working knowledge of the various Business Units, Functions, Sectors and services offered within business area, and general understanding of other Wood business offerings.
  • Maintains own knowledge of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promotes to direct reports
