The Senior Director of Analytics R&D will develop and manage an industry-leading R&D team with extensive academic and industry experience in building energy science and physical system based big-data. This team's work will be the foundation for new algorithms used to help solve the world energy problem.

Role Description:

*Develop a strong R&D team by recruiting, training, and providing ongoing coaching to the team
*Set and evangelize the research and development process to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment between all stakeholders during all phases of R&D
*Identify and prioritize the highest value problems that the R&D team should solve and explain why we can't or won't solve the others
*Set, evaluate and communicate research and development performance against corporate objectives
*Evaluate business and technology tradeoffs and report them in a manner that product and business teams can make decisions on final specifications
*Rapidly assess the potential of algorithms to be applied to various problems and/or processes in order to estimate the anticipated level of effort as well as define the metrics of success that could be used
*Make connections between relevant stakeholders and members of the R&D team


1.Deployment experience of statistical and mathematical methods such as: design of experiments, relational Bayesian networks, machine-learning methods and algorithms, discrete choice modeling, statistical modeling, optimization, linear and nonlinear programming

2.Development and deployment of large scale automated analytical solutions and analytical projects

3.Development and deployment of cutting-edge actionable analytical solutions for marketing, customer support, financial and software departments. Select solutions are: Behavioral nanoclustering of customers based on relations between consumption of cloud services and financial performance; design and deployment of statistically valid marketing and sales experiments (achieved response rate 25%-27%); development of analytical software platform for enterprise wide design of experiments; development and deployment methodologies for statistical analysis of "big data", etc

4.Management experience (i.e., computational statisticians, data scientists)
