A team of 30 engineers and analysts are looking for a new team member.

The team itself has a wide range of expertise, some of which include: wind modelling and site evaluation, SCADA analysis and performance diagnostics, energy production assessment for pre-construction and post-construction projects, ongoing monitoring and reporting, Computational Fluid Dynamics, short term production forecasting algorithms, online meteorological data management and software development.

This team works with tight timelines and has a commercial focus that looks to improve their quality and efficiency. Within this role you would conduct wind energy assessments and site meteorogical conditions at pre and post construction phases, undertake bid development, project management and technical delivery, which will be collated into high quality proposals and reports.

For progession within this role, you will develop in the technical or management career track and have the opportunity to be involved in many of the several areas of focus of the department.


  • A degree in a relevant field such as engineering, meteorology, physics or mathematics, with a 2:1 degree classification or above;
  • Previous commercial experience delivering energy production assessments for wind or solar projects, either pre- or post- construction;
  • Excellent numeracy, literacy, communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Good technical understanding of wind energy technology and, ideally, of other renewable technologies;
  • Proven ability to produce clear written reports and communicate verbally in English.

Ideal Skills

  • Proficiency in the use of wind modelling software (e.g. WAsP, WindFarmer);
  • Good statistical analysis and/ or programming (particularly Python, SQL, Matlab) skills;
  • Strong customer contact experience;
  • Experience in bid development and proposal writing;
  • Experience in technical studies for wind or solar project development such as layout optimisation;
  • An industry profile;
  • Mentoring experience.
