Principal accountabilities/Main tasks:Set up, develop and lead Purchasing Team for assigned projectLead the request for quotation process with close link to internal departments like engineering, maintenance and/or productionEnsure our General Commercial Terms and Conditions with the supplierLead relevant negotiations and document technical and commercial agreements with negotiation protocols according to the Global Purchase DirectiveLead claim processesImplement a global KPI system as defined and required by VP Global PurchasingDevelop and implement local purchasing strategies with the buying teams taking under consideration price, budgets and internal customer satisfaction.Identify and implement global or local purchasing potential together with engineering, maintenance and/or productionQualify new suppliers together with global engineering with regard to their technological competence, manufacturing capacity and reliability, etc.Negotiate confidentiality agreements with suppliers as required and develop further if needed.Develop supplier by using the supplier relationship tool for performance on the topic about safety, quality of delivery, on time delivery, performance at installation & commissioning and reaction to claims.
Extensive experience in global Large Capital Projects in various execution modes and contract negotiation (at least 10 years)
Professional communication skills in English
Effective skills in SAP and MS-Office, cost breakdown structures,
Excellent negotiation and analytical skills
Intercultural skills and sensitivity
