The BMS Project Design Engineer is responsible for providing the delivery of the design of projects identifying value engineering opportunities.
This role requires the applicant to be fully proficient in BMS Design with full experience of Software & Graphics production & Commissioning.
Responsible for coordinating the input of various key internal and external stakeholders, including ownership of any subcontract designs (e.g. Panels), they must have good communications skills and be willing to travel.

The Project Design Engineer will typically own the production and coordination of the Tier 2 engineering / design submittal. This typically includes:

Tier 2 Submittal
I/O data point List
Equipment Schedule & Schematics
Device / Wiring Layout Drawings including Panel Design Interlocks
Functional Specifications
Demonstration / Acceptance
Operation & Maintenance Documentation

They will also convert the above functional specification document into an operational system then witness off site testing to confirm operational effectiveness.

They will use Change Control logs to create a full audit trail of all design changes in order to support the Project Manager in his Change Order Management activities.



*Possess a comprehensive understanding of high end BMS / HVAC applications.
*Manage software and graphics delivery.
*Control systems design, implementation and documentation.
*Full knowledge of relevant UK design standards (e.g. BSRIA Application Guide AG 7/98)
*Provide support for project handover and customer training.

5. Health, Safety and environment
*Relevant HSE accreditations
*Working knowledge of CDM

*Bachelor's degree or equivalent desirable but not essential.
*Excellent computer skills
*Previous experience working with highly complex technical solutions
*Knowledge of networking, database technology and trends in ITT would be highly advantageous
*Proven track record in a project engineering capacity involved in the delivery of technology based projects
*Previous exposure to a site base, construction environment
*Good communication and interpersonal skills
*Customer orientation
*Ability to communicate BMS knowledge to consultants and participate productively in design development meetings
*7-10 years' experience in control projects, with extensive on-site knowledge gathered on

Major Projects

*Experience of different industry sectors;
*Public sector
*Experience in the integration of a range of different technologies and energy solutions including HVAC, cooling, lighting and electrical technologies
*Self-starting, able to work with a minimum of supervision
*Willing to develop extensive product knowledge in formal training, and in "on the job" environments, working with latest Honeywell technology
*Able to work cooperatively and provide technical direction in a team environment
*Commitment to customer satisfaction
*Excellent communication - both verbal and written
