We are currently seeking an Associate PQS to be based in the London office of our multi-disciplinary client.
You will provide a comprehensive, accurate and value driven service for large, high profile and exciting key commercial, corporate and residential clients.

Job Responsibilities:

To lead and deliver in all aspects of quantity surveying from inception of a project through to completion. Dealing with a number of projects at the same time, varying in complexity.
To achieve the highest standards of professional competence and to demonstrate this ability in all dealings with clients and professional contacts, reinforcing the profile of the company.
To achieve the highest standards of excellence in all areas whether it is Personal and Professional, Administrative, or Technical expertise.
Be aware of and develop marketing opportunities and where appropriate bring to the attention of Directors and the Business Development Department, in order that they may assist in following up potential leads enabling the development of new business.
To maintain and develop good relationships with clients, take every opportunity to uphold and increase the profile of the firm as a provider of professional, premium quality services to the construction industry.
Play an actual part in sector specialisms and the development of these groups.
Assist directors in the development of the project team.
Act as a supervisor for current graduates and work with them to achieving competences for the APC.
Assist in coaching and appraising of team members of staff.
Promote a positive attitude within the team, to motivate staff and to assist them achieve the best possible work performance.

Minimum Requirements
Able to work under own initiative where appropriate, but also keen to work as part of a team and to be mentored and to develop and progress in their career development
Effective verbal and written communication skills - Client facing
Very good numeracy skills
Keenness to challenge and negotiate
An enthusiasm to go the extra mile, to provide great client service

Preferred Qualifications

Qualified MRICS with post qualification experience
