Job Summary

My client is looking for a Senior Safety Engineer to be their Subject Matter Expert on all safety related projects. As a result you will be an integral employee within the business who has a major influence on all of the organisations safety procedures and processes. From day one you will be working with all of the main Tier 1 Aerospace organisations in both the UK and internationally developing a range of bespoke systems such as aircraft sensors, displays and controls. This position is essential for the business to maintain being able to build/ design quality products adhering to European safety standards and guidelines.

Essential requirements/ skills

*Degree in Aerospace, Engineering or other relevant technical discipline.
*Experience of safety analysis in the aerospace sector or in any other 'safety-critical' safety role.
*Expertise with RM&S standards, e.g. MIL-HDBK, DEF-STAN and MIL-STAN, ARP4754A and ARP4761.
*Good planning, organisational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral and written communication skills.
*Good knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering principles.
*A strong knowledge of aircraft electronics systems and equipment.
*Good understanding of Aircraft Systems development.
