As an Offshore Foundation Structural Assessment Senior Engineer F/M you will be involved in delivering multi-level ongoing projects in the offshore wind whilst looking at the wider renewable energy business in general, contributing and developing broader technical solutions for business.
You'll be part of an enthusiastic and committed team of Engineers and Technicians to deliver high-quality output on projects. Client care and repeat business are crucial to success. This means you enjoy developing and nurturing relationships with clients.
You will have a good understanding of the technical engineering requirements of offshore wind turbine structures. As an Offshore foundation structural assessment senior engineer, you will be Performing structural calculations mainly using the finite element calculation method (FEA) to include:
- Analysis of Structural Models
- Monitoring calculations and detailed drawings
- Selection of load cases (environmental conditions, a turbine in production/shutdown, etc.)
- Post-processing of extreme loads and fatigue
- Analysis of the results and recommendations on the design
- Data flow management
- Ensuring technical compliance with the relevant regulations and client specifications
- Completion and delivery of high-quality technical reports.
and you will carry out the dimensioning of structures:
- In the pre-design, design, basic, and detailed engineering phases (typically offshore jacket/monopile wind turbine foundation).
- Analysis of structural designs and gradually develop expertise in a wide range of offshore structures including static & dynamic analysis, fatigue analysis, impact analysis, fracture mechanics, Finite Element Analysis, wave dynamics, seismic design, engineering materials, etc.
The role is based in Nantes, France, and the incumbent will have the right to work and reside in France.
In this hybrid role, you will have a defined work location that includes remote work from home, in the office, and offshore/on-site as agreed with your manager.
Flexibility to working hours and willing travel locally and internationally may be required occasionally.

One of Spencer Ogden's LNG clients is seeking a Process/Project Engineer to join them on a one year contract with the possibility of extension. The role will require candidates to be local or be willing to relocate to the Houston area.Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in chemical engineering.8+ years working on EPC projects.US, Mexican or Canadian citizenship or a green card Responsibilities Experience reviewing regulators FERC and PHMSA documents and questiosns or experience on LNG projects.Participate in the review of P&ID's, PFD's and other design drawings.Participate in Process Hazard Analysis, HAZOPS or other formal hazard assessment groups.Assists in developing responses to regulatory agencies FERC and PHMSAProvide company supervision to the safe work of the EPC contractor and subcontractors. Spencer Ogden is partnered with a leading international renewables developer to expand their team during an exciting period of growth and a strong project pipeline.This is an opportunity that will allow an Electrical Engineer to act as the Technical Expert for wind turbine, and balance of plant electrical systems for a very strong pipeline of nationally significant renewables projects in the UK/internationally.Responsibilities within this vacancy include:· Work with Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) management to achieve the highest level of safety across the portfolio ensuring all relevant industry standards and guidelines are complied with.· Successfully deliver value through the development of novel performance improvement initiatives, identifying potential plant upgrades, and by supporting improvement projects as part of a multidisciplinary team.· Protect asset value by supporting the Engineering Life Extension strategy, and managing critical electrical spares obsolesce.· Define and manage the scope and requirements for electrical inspection and maintenance working with Asset Management and external contractors to ensure this is completed to industry standards and timescales.· Lead root cause of failure investigations for wind turbine and electrical balance of plant component failures, working with the appropriate subcontractors to deliver clear recommendations and remedial actions required to ensure safe operations.This is a full time, UK based role offering remote working with a very lucrative salary/wider package.
