The Role

This is an exciting and unique opportunity for an Energy & Sustainability Consultant to help with new and innovative ways to make a real impact and deliver on our clients' goals. This person will be joining a very busy team with plenty of opportunity for growth.

- Responsibilities Delivering specialist advice to reduce energy and carbon use in the built environment

- Developing product offering

- Modelling a range of building types using IES with the goal of energy optimisation and decarbonisation

- Capable of advising clients and project leaders on the technical and economic performance of a range of low carbon energy, sustainable measures, technologies, and holistic solutions

for the built environment.

- Leading in providing professional work to clients including but not limited to;

- Non-domestic EPC's

- MEES reports

- Decarbonisation reports


- Overheating analysis

- Thermal Bridging

- U-Value calculations

- Lifecycle Carbon analysis of buildings.

- Providing QA assistance where appropriate

- Production of analytical and visually appealing reports and presentations to clearly communicate outcomes of analysis and practical recommendations.

- Stay up to speed in all relevant regulation and educate both our internal teams and our

clients on the requirements for current and future legislation

- Demonstrate Business Development and Client Care.

- Adherence to Health & Safety procedures.

- Support colleagues in relation to the delivery of ESG built environment solutions

- Assisting with co-ordination of portfolio instructions and undertaking other duties from time to time as may be reasonably required.

Your Profile

- ExperienceDegree in an Energy or Sustainability related subject, ideally 2-5 years of work experience in a commercial property environment

- Ideally a Qualified non-domestic energy assessor level 3, 4, and 5

- IES level 5

- Low Carbon Consultant

- An in depth-knowledge of IES and the UK Building Regulations

- Strong understanding of the National Calculation Methodology

- A good understanding of mechanical design

- Is passionate about a Sustainable Built Environment

- Demonstrates a wider understanding of complex sustainability problems associated with a range of built environment issues and identify appropriate solutions through sound sustainability principles

- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel

- Clean driving licence

- Required to have the ability to work within a team and on own initiative

- Must be enthusiastic proactive and self-motivated

- Must have strong verbal and numerical skills and good written skills

- Requires excellent time management and general organisation skills

- Is required to be flexible and have the ability to work under pressure
