Job Title: Senior Systems Verification Engineer
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + benefits
Location: Hampshire

My client is looking for an experienced Senior Systems Verification Engineer with a strong track record of delivering/leading Verification activities for safety critical applications, ideally within Aerospace.
You will have the opportunity to work on a range of Avionic Systems for both Civil and Military aircraft and will be expected to take a lead role on the projects.

Responsibilities

*The Senior Systems Verification Engineer will technically report to the Design Lead. Overall cost, schedule and direction will be provided by the Project Manager
*The Senior Systems Verification Engineer is expected to liaise with system design engineers and component (hardware and software) engineers during the development of verification plans and procedures. The verification activities will be planned, developed and conducted in close relationship with System Qualification (Environmental, EMC) activities
*Interface with other departments such as Production & Test to ensure that products are produced to the highest possible standards in accordance with Aerospace guidelines and standards

Requirements

Essential Skills

*Prior experience of leading verification activities
*Experience of Avionics or extensive safety critical industry experience
*Experience of capturing system requirements and of validating and verifying that the system that has been produced as a result meets the original specification
*Able to write integration and verification documents, establish detailed test procedures and then lead the systems verification activities
*Experience of working with customers, suppliers, other engineering disciplines, quality, manufacturing and other company departments

Desirable Skills

*Experience of leading verification activities to comply to EUROCAE ED-79/SAE ARP4754A
*Aircraft electronic equipment verification experience.
*Knowledge of how different aircraft systems interface with each other and how they use the information.
*Knowledge of aircraft certification requirements within the EASA regulatory environment.
*Knowledge of EUROCAE ED-14G/RTCA DO-160G, ED-12C/DO-178C, ED-80/DO-254,
*Experience of leading formal decision analysis and resolution.
*Experience of using Reqtify, DOORS or a similar requirements management/traceability tool.
*Knowledge of software development tools to support system verification activities, such as Matlab/Simulink, Labview, CoPilot.
*Past experience as a Software or Hardware Engineer.
